This year’s 8th graders were in Carpinteria/Santa Barbara, fishing and camping and eating and swimming and driving Mr. John Choi nuts!  ♥  Here are the pictures to prove it.  Principal Song also was seen with the 8th graders….and he claims that he caught a 13 lb. rock cod (about 25″) and a ling cod (23.25″).  But he said he had to release them (wink, wink).  At the moment, there is no evidence to prove his claims.  The rumor has it that Mr. John Choi actually has pictures to prove Principal Song’s catch, but they have not surfaced on the internet yet….

Our Annual Family Night at Dodgers Stadium was Wednesday, June 3.  And, two years in a row, the Dodgers won on NCA Family Night!  Yeah!

Class of 2009 chose to hang out at Palm Desert for 4 nights and 5 days.  Here are some pictures they’d like to share with the school community.  Some of the activities included: eating, swimming, playing basketball, helicopter ride, stroll down the open market, visit to Air Museum, watching TV (LA vs. Denver), and just hanging out at a jacuzzi and chatting until midnight.

Congratulations to the Class of 2009!

This year’s Commencement Ceremony will be at New Hope Chapel, home to NCA from 2002-2004.  You can find a map here.  The ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30 pm so don’t be late!

This year’s keynote speaker will be Dr. Bill Walner, Associate Director of the Southern California Region for the Association of Christian Schools International.

• Please arrive at the Graduation site dressed no later than 4:30 pm for Rehearsal.

NCA’s Annual Spring Banquet is Here!  Grades 9-12 are invited to our Annual Semi-Formal Dinner at the Castaway Restaurant in Burbank.

Tickets will be on sale from Friday, May 22 - Friday, May 29.  They can be purchased for $45, but after May 29, the price will be $50, so buy early!  Tickets may sell out!

For those students that will be bringing guests to the Banquet, you can download the Guest Contract, and return it to school by Monday, June 1.

Thanks to Mr. Tony Hong and his Art class students, we have designed NCA’s 10th Year Anniversary T-shirt.  And, it’s free to all NCA students and alums who come to the Family Festival on May 16th.  Can you tell who the “model” is?  Hint: it’s not Principal Song or Mr. Chai.

NCA’s 10th Year Celebration will take place on May 16th, noon to 5 PM at New Hope Chapel (2861 Los Feliz Blvd., Los Angeles, CA  90039, behind Costco/BestBuy/Toys ‘R’ Us).  There will be a giant waterslide, dunk tank, bouncer, and other inflatable devices.  Also, cotton candy, shave ice, popcorn, hamburger, hot dog, and chili fries will be provided for everyone.   3-on-3 Basketball Tournament will take place (1st place prize = $100, 2nd place - $50, 3rd place - $25), and there will be other sports activities.

This event is completely FREE to all NCA students, families, teachers, and prospective students/families.  Check out the flyer for more information.
