The Office of Academic and Student Affairs (OASA) at New Covenant Academy directs and oversees the academic learning and socioemotional development of students through academic advising, guidance counseling, and student life activities.
Providing students with the supports necessary for them to experience high levels of academic achievement and the accomplishment of their personal goals is its top priority. OASA is indelibly involved in the complete academic and social experience of students at NCA, from the very first day they set foot on campus to the day they grace the commencement stage.
A note from Joseph Chai
Welcome to New Covenant Academy! My name is Joseph Chai, and I am fortunate to serve as the assistant principal of our fantastic school. I have been a part of the NCA community since 2010, first as a social studies and history teacher for several years before joining the administration in 2015, and it has been the honor of a lifetime to be able to support our students and families here.
My primary responsibility at NCA is to direct efforts to support student learning, which includes overseeing the instructional program, and supporting our wonderful team of teachers and staff alike to ensure they have the tools and resources they need to reach all of our students effectively. These measures help in part to ensure that NCA remains a vibrant community of learners who are confident, capable, and collaborative, doing all they can to ever improve themselves for the sake of one day being a blessing to others.
The 2018-19 school year is going to be a great one, and I am incredibly excited to see the potential in our students come alive this year. Please do not hesitate to contact me at email@example.com if you have any questions or concerns, and I would be happy to assist you.
